7 Ausangate Lagoons
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel very early to go to the peasant community of Pacchanta, a 2-hour drive, to have breakfast in a local restaurant.
Around 9am, we will start the hike that will take us to the lagoons of Puca Cocha, Huaca Cocha and Oque Cocha. Then we will continue to the Qomer Cocha lagoon, then Otorongo Cocha, then Alqa Cocha, and finally Azúl Cocha which is the highest point of the route and the perfect place to admire the southern face of the snow-capped Ausangate mountain.
Return to Pacchanta around 2pm for lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, those who wish can enjoy the thermal baths of the community. Then we will return to Cusco to drop off the whole group at the Plaza de Armas.
